Bandipora, March 24: As part of the ongoing awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), an awareness programme was conducted at Bus Stand Nussoo on Tuesday to sensitise participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible life.
The programme was organised with the Social Welfare Department as the nodal department, in collaboration with the Labour and Employment, Urban Local Bodies, Transport and Health Department.
During the programme, participants were sensitised about the dangers of substance abuse and its adverse impact on health, society and the future of young people. Resource persons highlighted the importance of awareness, prevention and collective community efforts in combating drug abuse.
A Nukkad Natak was also presented at Bus Stand Nussoo, which effectively conveyed the message against drug abuse and attracted the attention of the public.
During the event, participants were also encouraged to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign and spread the message of a drug-free society among their peers and communities.
