Medical Camp Held at Armed Police Complex Zewan, Around 700 Patients Receive Free Treatment

ZEWAN, March 10: A Medical Camp was on Tuesday successfully organized by 9BN JKAP Zewan and Kashmir Medical College and Hospital (KMC), Sempora at the Armed Police Complex, Zewan for the official and family members of residing in APC complex and local population residing in vicinity.

The camp witnessed an encouraging response, around 700 patients including 200 ladies, children and elderly patients who were examined by a team of experienced doctors and medical professionals from various departments of Kashmir Medical College and Hospital, including Surgery, General medicine,Orthopaedics, dermatology, Dentistry, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, and ENT. Various diagnostic investigations, including blood serology tests, were conducted and medicines were distributed free of cost by Kashmir Medical College & Hospital as part of its community outreach initiative.

The event was graced by Tauseef Ahmed, Managing Director KMC, and Insha Qazi, Executive Director KMC, who appreciated the efforts of the medical team and emphasized the importance of extending quality healthcare services to the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Tauseef Ahmed, Managing Director KMC, stated that the institution intends to organize more such medical outreach programmes in collaboration with J&K Police in the future. He further emphasized that Kashmir Medical College & Hospital is committed to providing quality and relatively affordable healthcare services to the people.

At the outset of the programme, the distinguished guests were warmly welcomed at the Armed Police Complex, Zewan, by Shahzad Salaria, JKPS, Commandant AP 9th Battalion, who presented flower bouquets to the dignitaries as a mark of respect and appreciation.

On the occasion, Commandant Shahzad Salaria, JKPS expressed his gratitude to the management of Kashmir Medical College and Hospital for organizing such a beneficial welfare programme at the Armed Police Complex, Zewan. He also advised the attendees to remain conscious of their health by adopting regular exercise, routine medical check-ups, and a healthy lifestyle. DY Commandant 9BN JKAP SP Shahzada Kabir Matto and Dr Umar from KMC manged and professionally organised the medical camp.

The medical camp concluded on a positive note, with members of the local community and police personnel expressing appreciation for the free medical consultations, diagnostic services, and medicines provided during the camp.
