DC Pulwama reviews digitisation of Jamabandies & other revenue matters

Directs timely completion of digitisation process & expeditious disposal of revenue pendencies

Pulwama, March 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Circuit House here to assess the progress achieved under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and review various revenue-related issues across the district.

During the meeting, a detailed PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, highlighting the tehsil-wise progress achieved in the digitisation of Jamabandies across the district, along with the status of other key revenue matters.

Taking a detailed village-wise, khewat-wise, khata-wise and khasra-wise review, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the progress made in the digitisation of land records across all tehsils of the district. He took strict note of pendencies and sought details regarding cases pending at various levels, directing the concerned officers to clear all pendencies on priority to ensure timely completion of the digitisation process.

The meeting also reviewed the progress regarding the initiation of grievance registers, status of backlog mutations, updation of attribute tables, SVAMITVA Maps (1.0 and 2.0), Digital Crop Survey, DVO cases, and court cases.
Besides, the DC also reviewed the pendency of cases under Section 27 of the J&K Land Revenue Act, removal of encroachments from State and Kahcharai land, and disposal of migrant grievances, including both online and offline complaints.

Emphasising efficiency and accountability in revenue administration, the Deputy Commissioner directed all revenue officers to expedite the disposal of pending revenue cases, maintain accuracy in digital land records, and ensure timely delivery of revenue services to the public.

He further directed the officers to closely monitor progress at the field level and submit regular updates so that all targets are achieved within the stipulated timeframe.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Pulwama, all Tehsildars and other revenue officials.
