10 Vehicles Seized in Anti-Illegal Mining Drive in Tral

Tral, March 04: In a strong and coordinated crackdown on illegal mining, Police in Tral, in collaboration with the Geology and Mining Department, have seized 10 vehicles allegedly involved in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals from different locations in the area.

According to official sources, the seizures were made during intensified inspections and raids. Three vehicles were confiscated from Rathsuna, one from Satoora, one from Batagund, and five from Nowdal in Tral.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of DSP Tral Rajesh Kumar and SHO Tral Tajamul Islam, along with officials from the Geology and Mining Department. Authorities stated that round-the-clock efforts are being undertaken to protect the natural resources of Tral and prevent their illegal exploitation.

Sources further said that several cases have been registered against individuals accused of damaging and plundering natural resources, underscoring a zero-tolerance approach towards illegal mining activities in the area.
