77th Republic Day Celebrated at Kishanganga Power Station, Bandipora

Bandipora, Jan 26: The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Kishanganga Power Station in Bandipora on Monday.

The Chief Guest and Head of the Power Station, Shri Rajesh Ranjan, unfurled the National Tricolour, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the National Song. He was accompanied by Shri Som Nath, GM (Civil), Shri Santosh Kumar Suman, Commandant, CISF, and Mohammad Younus, Incharge JKAP, along with officers, staff members and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Rajesh Ranjan highlighted that despite various challenges, NHPC has a bright future and continues to remain one of the largest producers of clean energy in the country. He emphasized that clean and renewable energy is the future and informed that NHPC is in the process of establishing new power plants to further enhance its power generation capacity.

The programme also featured the live broadcast of the address by the CMD, NHPC, followed by a series of vibrant cultural and patriotic performances presented by CISF personnel, NHPC employees and their family members, adding colour and enthusiasm to the celebrations.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for participants and a vote of thanks. The Republic Day celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents as well, reflecting a strong sense of national pride and community bonding.
