Pampore, Jan 23: MLA Pampore Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, expressed serious concern over the widespread damage caused by the recent windstorm across Pampore constituency, impacting residential structures, power infrastructure, public utilities, orchards and standing crops in several villages and habitations.
He emphasized the urgent need to collect detailed information of the damage by identifying affected villages and habitations, and called upon the concerned Department’s to carry out a comprehensive, transparent and time-bound assessment so that no affected family is left out.
He urged the district administration to initiate immediate relief and rehabilitation measures, including restoration of essential services, provision of ex-gratia relief, and necessary support to those whose livelihoods have been affected, particularly farmers and orchardists.
Hasnain Masoodi told Kashmir Convener, that the administration must respond with sensitivity and urgency, and ensure that relief reaches the affected people at the earliest. He assured that the matter will be pursued with the concerned authorities to ensure timely redressal and rehabilitation in accordance with government norms.
