Hajin, Jan 23: The Municipal Committee (MC) Hajin on Friday cleared snow from interior link roads across the town following the recent snowfall.
Officials said sanitation staff were pressed into service to remove snow from backlanes, narrow streets and interior areas where mechanical equipment could not be deployed.
The exercise was aimed at ensuring pedestrian movement and public safety, particularly for school-going children and elderly residents.
Despite adverse weather conditions, the staff continued work to restore basic accessibility in residential localities, an official said.
The Municipal Committee urged residents to cooperate with the field staff and avoid unnecessary movement in snow-covered areas during the ongoing operations.
