REC Wins Four Awards at PSU Transformation Awards 2025

New Delhi, Dec 20: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has secured top honours at the 5th PSU Transformation Awards 2025, winning awards across four categories for its performance in cyber security, sustainability, risk management and digital transformation.

 

In the Resilience in Action category, REC received the Silver Award for Cyber Defence and Resilience, recognising the company’s strengthened cyber security framework and preparedness against evolving digital threats. The award was received by K Venugopal, Senior General Manager (IT) and Chief Information Security Officer, along with the CISO team.

 

Under the Green PSU Award category, REC was conferred the Gold Award for ESG Leadership and Net-Zero Operations, highlighting its efforts in environmental, social and governance practices and progress towards net-zero goals. The award was accepted by Awanish Kumar Bharati, General Manager (Finance), and Neha Sharma, Deputy General Manager (Finance).

 

REC’s enterprise risk management framework was recognised with the Risk Management Leader Award for the implementation of ISO 31000 Risk Management Guidelines. The award was received by Jeetender Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Finance), and Hitesh Kumar Meena, Deputy Manager.

 

Further, REC also won the Rising Star Award for the transformation of its official website, cited as a digital gateway reflecting the organisation’s new corporate identity and focus on user-centric design. The award was received by Ujjal Mondal, Assistant Manager (BDM).

 

Spokesperson said the multiple recognitions underscore REC’s focus on operational resilience, sustainability, governance reforms and digital advancement, aligned with India’s power and infrastructure development objectives.
