Bandipora, Nov 26: Girls High School Plan Nowpora Bandipora celebrated Constitution Day with great zeal and patriotic spirit, organising a series of activities to highlight the importance of the Indian Constitution.
A special morning assembly marked the beginning of the programme, where staff and students participated wholeheartedly. Speakers on the occasion reflected on the historic significance of the Constitution and paid rich tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the nation’s supreme law.
They emphasised that the Constitution serves as the guiding framework of India, safeguarding justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for every citizen. The fundamental rights and duties were also explained to the students, with an appeal to embody these values in their daily lives.
To commemorate the day, the school conducted an essay competition and a quiz competition centred on constitutional principles, aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of democratic values and the role of the Constitution in nation-building.
A pledge was administered, reaffirming commitment to uphold and protect the Constitution. The event concluded with the message that every citizen must contribute towards strengthening democracy and preserving the unity and integrity of the nation.
