From the Camera to the Coffin: Tral’s Heartbreak Over Javaid

TRAL, November 15:

Thousands of mourners attended the funeral procession of Javaid Mansoor, a cameraman with the Crime Branch and a resident of Hariparigam Tral, who lost his life in the tragic blast at Nowgam Police Station late Friday night.

Inspector General of Police Crime Branch Sajith Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr. Basharat Qayoom, SSP Awantipora Sajad Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, and several other senior police officials participated in the funeral prayers and paid their respects.

Mubashir Mansoor was later laid to rest amid emotional scenes, with tears, sobs, and prayers filling the air.

Following the funeral, senior police and civil officers also visited the residence of the slain cameraman to express solidarity with the bereaved family. They paid rich tributes to Mubashir, describing him as a dedicated professional who served with commitment.

Mubashir was among the nine people who died in the Nowgam Police Station blast in Srinagar. News of his death sent shockwaves across the Tral Sub Division, plunging the entire area into mourning.

As his body reached his native village, the atmosphere turned heart-rending. Relatives, neighbours, and friends gathered in large numbers to console the family, while grief-stricken scenes unfolded throughout the locality.

Local residents, along with officials, offered their final respects and remembered Mubashir as a humble, hardworking, and devoted professional whose sudden demise has created a deep void in the community.

Known for his kind nature, Javaid had married in 2020 and is survived by his three-year-old daughter. He was working as a cameraman with the Crime Branch. His untimely death has left the whole area deeply saddened, and residents said it is truly unfortunate that such a tragic incident took place.
