Leh, Oct 7, 2025: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, today reaffirmed the Union Territory Administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, promoting welfare, and advancing Ladakh’s vision of sustainable and inclusive growth. Chairing a high-level review meeting in Leh, the Lt Governor assessed the overall situation in the UT, including law and order, essential services, and ongoing development initiatives.
Shri Gupta appreciated the coordinated efforts of the district administration, police, and security agencies in maintaining harmony and ensuring normalcy across the region. In light of improving conditions and positive public response, he directed officials to ease certain restrictions in a phased and calibrated manner, emphasizing that the restoration of public order must remain a priority. He stressed that continued public cooperation and responsible behavior have been key to the region’s return to normalcy.
The Lt Governor highlighted the importance of responsive, people-centric governance, urging officers to maintain close engagement with local communities and address grievances promptly at the grassroots level. Acknowledging the patience, resilience, and collective spirit of Ladakh’s residents, Shri Gupta commended their unwavering faith in the Administration and their active role in upholding peace and unity. He assured that the government remains fully committed to safeguarding the interests of the people, enhancing their quality of life, and ensuring that all sections of society benefit equitably from the region’s development journey.
