REC Foundation Allocates ₹1.68 Crore to Deploy 3 Mobile Medical Units in Jharkhand

New Delhi, Oct 7, 2025: In a major push to strengthen primary healthcare in remote areas, REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, has committed ₹1.68 crore under its CSR arm, REC Foundation, for the procurement and operation of three Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) across Jharkhand.

An official spokesperson told Kashmir Convener that the initiative, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, aims to provide doorstep healthcare services to underserved and remote communities, ensuring access to essential medical consultations, treatments, and preventive care.

The signing ceremony on October 7, 2025, was attended by Shri Ashok Bhagat, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Bishunpur, Shri Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman & MD of REC Limited, and other senior officials from both organizations.

Through this deployment, REC Foundation continues its mission to reduce healthcare disparities and improve well-being in far-flung regions, reinforcing its commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to the last mile. (PIB)
