Bandipora Police Attach Properties Worth ₹2.11 Crore Linked to Terror Activities

Bandipora, Aug 13: Bandipora Police on Wednesday attached immovable property measuring 2 kanals and 12 marlas, valued at over ₹2.11 crores that was owned by individuals linked to terror related activities in the district

In a statement issed by the Bandipora Police on its  social media platform, an official spokesperson said in a strong action against anti-national activities, they attached the properties identified as “proceeds of terrorism” and are linked to alleged involvement in facilitating and promoting terrorist activities in the district.

Giving details he said at Watapora, land measuring 1 kanal and 9 marlas belonging to Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, son of Gh Hassan Bhat, was attached. The property falls under Survey Nos. 271, 696, 707, 710, 738, 753, 1064, 1689, 742, and 1055, vide Mutation No. 1244. The action was taken under FIR No. 33/2022 registered at Police Station Bandipora under Sections 121 IPC, 18, 20, and 39 of the UAPA, and Sections 2/3 of the E&IMCO Act.

Similarly, land measuring 1 kanal and 0.5 marlas under Survey Nos. 121 and 122, located at Chandaji Bandipora and belonging to Jameel Ahmad Khan, son of Jogi Khan, was attached under the same FIR and legal provisions.

In another case, land measuring 2 marlas under Survey No. 2954 at Aloosa Bandipora belonging to Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Ali Mohmad Dar, was also attached.

Bandipora Police reaffirmed their commitment to dismantling terror networks and maintaining peace and security, warning that such actions will continue against those indulging in unlawful activities. Citizens have been urged to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities.
