IAF Joins Multinational Air Combat Drill ‘Desert Flag-10’ in UAE

New Delhi, April 20: A contingent of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has arrived at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates to take part in Exercise Desert Flag-10, one of the region’s premier multinational air combat exercises. The IAF is participating with its MiG-29 and Jaguar aircraft.

Hosted by the UAE Air Force, this edition of Desert Flag features participation from the Air Forces of Australia, Bahrain, France, Germany, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, UAE, the United Kingdom, and the United States, along with India.

The exercise will be held from April 21 to May 8, 2025, and is aimed at conducting complex and diverse aerial combat engagements, fostering the exchange of operational knowledge and best practices among some of the most advanced air forces in the world.

By taking part in Desert Flag-10, the IAF seeks to enhance mutual understanding, improve interoperability, and strengthen defence cooperation with friendly nations across regions. The participation underscores India’s growing strategic partnerships and commitment to bolstering regional and global security collaboration.
