PDD Lineman Injured After Falling from Electric Pole in Pampore

Pampore, March 5: A daily wager lineman of the Power Development Department (PDD) was critically injured after falling from an electric pole while repairing a power line in Frestabal area of Pampore town in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
The lineman, identified as Mohammad Yousuf Dar, a resident of Goripora Barsoo, was repairing a wire when he lost balance and fell, sustaining serious head and body injuries. Locals quickly rushed him to Sub-District Hospital Pampore, from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Speaking to Kashmir Convener, AEE PDD Sub Division Pampore, Mohammad Iqbal, confirmed the incident, stating, “The PDL worker sustained critical injuries after falling from an electricity pole. He is currently undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura. I, along with the rest of the PDD team, am present at the hospital to monitor his condition.”
Officials from the Electric Division Pampore, including field staff, also visited the hospital to express their concern and support for the injured worker.
