“Pending Travel Allowance for Teachers to be Released After JKTF’s Intervention”
Bandipora, Feb 17: The pending Travel Allowance (TA) for teachers involved in Republic Day function preparations in Bandipora is set to be disbursed following the intervention of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), an official spokesperson said on Monday.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, JKTF spokesperson Anjum Nisar said they had raised concerns over the selective disbursement of TA in select zones, questioning why only some teachers received the allowance while others were left out. He stressed that all teachers who contributed to the event deserved equal recognition and financial reimbursement.
“Responding to the forum’s strong representation, authorities have assured that the pending,” he claimed and said that TA will be released to all affected teachers across Bandipora district.
“The decision has been widely welcomed by the teaching community, who expressed gratitude to JKTF District President Sajad Ahmad for pursuing the matter with officials”.
A group of teachers from Bandipora acknowledged JKTF’s efforts, stating, “We sincerely thank our District President for ensuring that justice is done. The timely intervention has brought relief to many teachers who had been awaiting their rightful dues.”
