SSM College Represents J&K at ISTE’s 54th National Convention in Punjab

Srinagar, Fev 14: SSM College of Engineering on Friday celebrates 54th National Annual Convention organized by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) at Lamrin Tech Skill University, Punjab (LTSU).

An official spokesperson of the Institution said the theme of the two-days event was “Vision 2047: Transforming the Education System for Making India the Skill Capital of the World.”

The event brought together Vice-Chancellors, faculty members, and students from across India, with over 5,000 participants, focusing on education and skill development.

On this occasion Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab was the Chief Guest of the event, Harjot Singh Bains Cabinet Minister of Punjab, Technical Education and Industrial Training, Higher Education & Languages School Education was Presiding Over during the event, Dr. Vinod K. Paul member NITI AYYOG was distinguished Guest of Honour, Ved Mani Tiwari Chief Executive Officer, NSDC was special Guest of Honour, Prof. T.G. Sitharam Chairman AICTE and Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe Chairman, Executive Committee, NAAC were Guest of Honour at the event.

Being the only Institution of UT of Jammu and Kashmir having collaboration with ISTE under both its Students and Faculty Chapters, our students showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir on this esteemed national platform.

Spokesperson said through traditional art, music, and cultural expressions, they beautifully depicted the vibrant diversity of the Valley. Their participation aimed to promote the essence of Kashmiri culture while fostering a spirit of unity, pride, and cultural exchange.

“This remarkable achievement underscores the talent and dedication of our students, reinforcing SSM College of Engineering’s commitment to holistic development beyond academics,” he added.

“The efforts on the part of students and coordinating faculty members of SSM College of Engineering have been appreciated by the Management of the Institution as it has projected the rich academic and cultural heritage of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir”.
