Bandipora, May 05: Under its Civic Action Programme, the 45 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sumbal successfully concluded a one-month free computer training course aimed at promoting skill development among students from economically weaker sections.

The concluding ceremony was held in the presence of Commanding Officer Apoorvan and other senior CRPF officials. The event marked the successful completion of the third batch of the training programme, reflecting the force’s continued commitment to community outreach and youth empowerment.

The initiative received an encouraging response, with more than 80 students from the Sonawari area enrolling in the course. Notably, both boys and girls actively participated in the programme, highlighting a growing interest among local youth in acquiring digital skills.

At the end of the course, all participants were felicitated and awarded certificates in recognition of their efforts and successful completion of the training.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the function, Commanding Officer Apoorvan said the programme was part of the CRPF’s broader civic action initiatives aimed at supporting underprivileged students. He noted that the course was provided free of cost and focused on enhancing employability and practical skills.

He further stated that two batches had already completed similar training earlier, and the current batch marked another step forward in their outreach efforts. “We are committed to providing free courses, skill development opportunities, and sports-related initiatives for the youth,” he said.

Reaffirming the force’s dedication to the welfare of the local population, he added that more such initiatives would be launched in the future to benefit students from economically weaker backgrounds in Sonawari.
