Bandipora, June 05: As part of the ongoing efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the District Administration Bandipora, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services & Sports Office Bandipora and District Social Welfare Department on Thursday organized a District Level Yoga event at the Forest Training School, Chitternar, Bandipora.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, an official spokesperson of the district administration said, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, officials, and local youth, all united by the shared goal of fostering a drug-free and health-conscious society.
Speaking on the occasion, officials emphasized the significance of holistic health practices like Yoga in preventing substance abuse and instilling discipline, resilience, and mindfulness among the youth.
Chitternar Forest Training School is nestled amidst lush greenery and serene natural surroundings. The tranquil forest environment, complemented by fresh air and peaceful ambiance, provided the perfect setting to promote physical and mental well-being as a core aspect of the anti-drug campaign.
Spokesperson said the event marked yet another meaningful step in the district’s comprehensive action plan under NMBA, focusing not only on awareness but also on building sustainable health-centric community habits.
