Srinagar, Jan 31: Srinagar Police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
According to an official statement a Police team of Police Station Panthachowk at a checkpoint established at Khanmoh, intercepted a person identified as Farooq Ahmad Lone son of Mohd Sadiq Lone resident of Khanmoh.
Further it reads, during search, substantial quantities of narcotics recovered from his possession.
The accused person has been arrested.
Case vide FIR No. 14/25 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered and investigation initiated.
