University of Kashmir Introduces 5-Year Integrated Masters Program in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence

Srinagar, September 19: University of Kashmir has announced the launch of a full-time, 5-year Integrated Masters Programme in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence aiming to address the growing demand for data science professionals in the market and embrace the cutting-edge of futuristic technology.

The program will be offered by the Department of Computer Science at the university’s main campus.

According to a notification the Vice-Chancellor has granted approval for the introduction of this new course, anticipating the formal nod from the university’s competent authorities.

The program aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge in the rapidly evolving fields of data science and artificial intelligence, empowering them to contribute effectively to various industries that increasingly rely on these technologies.

30 students shall be granted admission  including 10 self-financed seats. The notification shall be effective from the current academic session.

Students having passed 10+2 Examination (any stream) with a minimum of 45% marks in case of general category and 40% marks in case of reserved category candidates from a recognized board/institution of the country.

The admission to the five-years-program shall be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University of Kashmir. “The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall be prescribed by the Department of Computer Sciences.
