Bandipora:- Massive clashes erupt after Friday prayers at Plan and Nowpora areas of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Scores of youths marched on the roads from Jamia Masjid Bandipora to Gulshan chowk after Friday prayers raising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans followed by severe clashes between protesters and the government forces.
Government forces used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters who where protesting against the civilian killings. Reports of clashes were received from Papchan area of the district where youths clashed with security forces.

Earlier massive pro-freedom rallies were held across Bandipora district on Friday after Friday-prayers. Chanting pro-freedom slogans, youths took out a rally from Jamia Masjid Bandipora (Jadeed) a nd marched towards Gulshan chowk. the rally was lead by district leaders of Muslim League and Hurriyat Conference.
Adressing the gathering, the Hurriyat leaders asked people to be peaceful during protests and not to get provoked by repeated provocations of forces. they condemned the forces for ransacking the residential houses of the residents.
Meanwhile peaceful protest rallies where also carried out from Ajas, Saderkote Bala, Hajin,Gurez and watapora areas of the district.
