Pampore, September 14: As part of its continued commitment to community welfare and public outreach, 185 Battalion, CRPF organised a free health camp at Bajnari, a remote village in the Khrew area of Pampore, Pulwama district, on Monday.
The camp was organised under the banner of CRPF Madadgar with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services to the local population and strengthening the bond between the Force and the community.
The event was attended by Kuldeep Singh Rana, Second-in-Command, Dharamdas Chourasiya, Second-in-Command, Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant and Unit Medical Officer Dr. Salim Bilal, along with other officers and personnel of 185 Bn CRPF.
A team of experienced medical practitioners conducted free medical consultations, health check-ups and treatment, besides distributing medicines among the beneficiaries.
A total of 119 villagers, including men, women, children and elderly persons from Bijnari and adjoining villages, availed themselves of the medical services.
The initiative received an encouraging response from the local population, with beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the timely healthcare assistance provided by the Battalion, CRPF officials told Kashmir Convener.
The camp was part of the Battalion’s ongoing Civic Action Programme, aimed at improving access to essential healthcare services in remote areas and contributing to the overall well-being of local communities. The programme also sought to further strengthen trust, cooperation and mutual goodwill between the CRPF and the people.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Hemant, Commandant, 185 Bn CRPF. It was the seventh free health camp conducted by the Battalion during the current year and the second such camp at Bijnari village. The first free medical camp in the village was organised on March 17.
