BANDIPORA, Oct 17: CFL Bankoot, in collaboration with RESPONSENET, organised a financial literacy programme for persons with disabilities at the Old Hospital in Bandipora on Saturday to promote financial inclusion and awareness of banking services and welfare schemes.
The programme focused on savings, digital banking, financial security, government welfare schemes and social security benefits. Participants were also informed about their financial rights and the importance of accessing banking facilities and government assistance.
The session included an interactive discussion in which participants could raise queries and learn about available financial services and ways to make informed financial decisions.
The organisers stressed the need to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to reliable financial information and can avail themselves of eligible government benefits without unnecessary difficulties.
