Bandipora, October 3: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a traffic advisory in connection with the Wular Ultra Marathon-3.0, scheduled to be held in Bandipora on October 4.
According to the advisory, vehicular traffic on the marathon route from BSF Headquarters Maddar, Bandipora, to NHPC Pethkoot and back to Chewa via Kangrichowk and Wular Vantage Road will remain completely suspended from 5 am to 2 pm.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the affected route during the event and use designated alternative routes.
Srinagar-bound traffic from Gurez, Bandipora town and Bandipora Bus Stand will be diverted through the Bandipora-Sopore road and vice versa.
Bandipora-Gurez-bound traffic from Srinagar will be allowed via Narbal–Pattan–Sopore–Bandipora.
Traffic between Ganderbal and Bandipora will be diverted through Sumbal–Naidkhai–Sopore–Bandipora and vice versa.
Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued the advisory in the public interest and urged motorists to cooperate and follow the prescribed diversions during the marathon.
