Bandipora 05 May: The Wular Conservation and Management Authority (WUCMA) has recently established two selfie gazebo sites on the shores of Asia's largest freshwater lake, Wular Lake, providing visitors with a perfect spot to capture the picturesque surroundings of the lake.

The sites, strategically located in Zurimanz and Saderkote areas of the Bandipora district in North Kashmir, offer a panoramic view of the lake and its surrounding mountains, adding to the lake's breathtaking natural beauty and biodiversity.

The initiative has received overwhelming support from visitors who appreciate the opportunity to capture memories of their visit to this natural wonder. According to a local resident, Gh Hassan, the establishment of selfie points on the banks of Wular has increased employment opportunities for the fisherman community of Bandipora.

Wular Lake, which is a crucial source of livelihood for over ten thousand fishing and agricultural communities, is renowned for its picturesque scenery. The WUCMA's efforts have set a positive example for other organizations, promoting nature appreciation and active participation in its conservation among visitors.
