Weather Advisory Issued for Bandipora: Heavy Snowfall Expected from January 1-6

BANDIPORA, JAN 01: The District Administration Bandipora has issued a weather advisory following the Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast of heavy snowfall across the district from January 1 to January 6, 2025.

According to the advisory, Residents have been asked to exercise caution and adhere to safety protocols issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). The advisory urges the public to avoid unnecessary travel to ensure safety and minimize disruptions. All line departments have been directed to ensure prompt snow clearance and address logistical needs during the snowfall period, while district and sectoral officers have been instructed to remain at their respective headquarters to provide immediate assistance.

To address emergencies and ensure public support, the administration has released helpline numbers for essential services, road clearance, and other critical needs.
