Bandipora, July 19: taking strong note of washing vehicles of newly macdamized roads, the district administration Bandipora on Friday launched a drive to penalize the owners if the vehicles found damaging the roads by washing vehicles.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora Friday issued show cause notices to numerous drivers of vehicles who were found washing vehicles on newly macdamised road.
Three show cause notices were served to drivers of vehicles who were found washing vehicles on newly macdamised Gamroo- CA Khan road after the pictures went viral on social media sites.
Taking serious note of the matter, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza directed the concerned officer to take action against the people found involved in damaging roads.
The violators have been asked to report to ARTO's office within three days failing which action will be initiated against them.
DC Bandipora has appealed people not to damage the roads by washing vehicles on roads. "Macdamization started on various roads in Bandipora but people need to understand not to damage by washing cars on road".
