Bandipora, 29 Mar: Block level Rural Volleyball tournament organized by district administration in collaboration with district youth services and sports department under Khelo India sports for "peace and development" concluded today at High School Bonakoot.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Joint director Planning department was the chief guest and distributed volleyball nets among all eight participating teams. Besides he distributed winners and runners up trophies and cash of Rs 10000/= and 5000/= among winners and runner up teams.
It is worth mention that uniforms were already distributed to 08 participating teams at the inaugural of this tournament by ADC Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Dysp DAR Abdur Rashid Khan. A huge gathering of spectators and sports persons witness the final match today. Nazir Ahmad Bhat ZEPO Quil and Masood Ahmad Headmaster HS Bonakoot were also present as guest of honour at the end *Peerzada Khursheed Shaheen* Nodal officer Khelo India thanked all guests, players and spectators.
Speaking on the occasion, the Nodal officer Peerzada Khursheed Shaheen thanked Volleyball lovers, other guests and local youth who provided their full support and ensured all matches of the tournament in a peacful manner. He hoped that youth of the district will take part in varrious games to be played in future.
