Srinagar, 16 Oct: On the occasion of International White Cane Day today, many visually impaired persons participated in world white cane day via webinar event organized by National Association for the blind JK.
The daylong event was attended by senior officials from Head office of national association for the blind india mumbai.
In a bid to encourage use of White Cane and create awareness about this assistive tool for visually impaired among the sighted population, in this year NAB J&K organized White Cane Safety Day Through Online via zoom app due to covid 19 in commemoration of international White Cane Day falling on 15 Oct every year.
The programme was attended by more than all persons with visual impairment, who spoke on the role and importance of white canes, shared their experiences and enjoying webinar.
The event was attended by Miss Pradyna Director & Aut Dashpanday Co-director Training Center, Education Department NAB India officials from State Javeed Ahmad General Secretary and HOD Naza Bano with whole team of NAB JK.
