Srinagar, Feb 17: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party vice President Usman Majid on Saturday held a workers meeting in Kudara village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The meeting, under the leadership of Majid, witnessed a significant influx of political workers from different political parties who officially joined JKAP.
While addressing the workers, Majid shed light on the prevailing political challenges in the UT, placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the National Conference (NC)
He highlighted the significance of historical events, particularly the election rigging perpetrated in Kashmir in 1987. He asserted that had this injustice not occurred, the political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir would have taken a different path.
Majid stated that the current political mess in Kashmir is a direct consequence of the actions and policies of the PDP and NC. He emphasised that both parties bear full responsibility for the mess and instability in Jammu and Kashmir.
He asserted that the time has come for the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir to impart a decisive lesson to traditional political parties in the upcoming Parliament and Assembly elections that have exploited the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
The others who spoke on the occasion includes District President Syed Shafat, Zonal President Ghulam Hassan and those who were present includes District Youth President Wasif Mir, St Youth President Mushtaq Ahmed Awan, Block President Rural Banidpora Bilal Ahmed Khan, Block President Arin Bashir Ahmad, District Youth Organizer Liyaqat Nabi, Halqa President, Former PRI representatives and Senior Party workers of the area.
