Usman Majid holds interactions with party workers at Kaloosa
Jammu, Feb 07: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid on Tuesday visited Kaloosa area of Bandipora to hold an interaction with party workers.
Addressing the workers Majid stated that the aim of his party is to do the politics of truth. He said it's a time for politics of truth which is the aim of the Apni Party. If we do not tell the truth to our people then what answer we give to God. We will not give slogans but say what is achievable," Majid said.
He said that people in J&K have never been told the truth which has resulted in the prevailing political instability. “We in the Apni Party dare to call spade a spade and we will never shy away from telling you the truth, no matter how bitter it is,” he added.
Speaking against the ongoing anti encroachment drive Majid claimed that there is no transparency in the ongoing eviction drive, he urged the UT administration to issue clear orders on its assurance that poor people with only a few marlas of land will not be evicted.
He, however, appealed to the administration to have pity on the poor who may have erected residential structures on small patches of the State land.
“We don’t support encroachers, in fact, want the government to act tough against chronic encroachers and land mafia, but at the same time urge the LG administration to have pity on the poor and spare them from the ongoing drive on a humanitarian basis,” he added
During the meeting, various political activists from Peoples Conference and National Conference joined Apni Party. Majid welcomed the new entrants and urged them to work diligently for the public welfare in their respective areas.
District President Syed Shafat Kazmi also spoke on the occasion. The others who were present on the occasion includes District Youth President Wasif Mir, District Coordinator Mushtaq Ahmed, Block President Town Bandipora, Block President Arin, Senior party worker Bilal Ahmad Khan.
