Bandipora, 24 July: Two boys drowned in River Jehlum in Shilwat area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on wednesday.
An official said that two boys identified as Mohammad Shafi Bajran, 15 and Mohammad Kafeel Bajran 8 both sons of Abdul Rashid Bajran of Kalakoot Rajouri drowned in river Jhelum. He said that soon after the incident a rescue operation was launched by the locals and police to retrieve the duo.
One minor was rescued during rescue operation while and is yet to be retrieved. Mohammad Kafeel has been rescued while Mohammad Shafi is yet to be rescued
