Two J&K Bank branches closed after 15 employees test positive for Covid-19

Bandipora, 11 Jan: The authorities on tuesday ordered for closure of Jammu and Kashmir Bank's TP branch and Main branch in north Kashmir's Bandipora after Fifteen staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
An official said that the branches have been closed for next two days as a precautionary measure after fifteen employees of the bank branches were tested COVID-19 positive.Moreover, general public has been advised to avoid visiting the said branches for next two days.
"While contact tracing is on, some employees have been asked to undergo quarantine," he added.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 tally in the district reached 10,223 on Tuesday with 63 active cases
It is pertinent to mention that Deputy Commissioner Bandipora called an emergency meeting with officers to discuss covid mitigation efforts in the district. Later the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with Religious leaders and representatives of trade and transport urging them to ensure strict implementation of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
