Top Security Brass Meet in Rajouri to Review Counter-Insurgency Measures
Rajouri, April 11: A high-level Joint Security Review Meeting was convened today in Rajouri under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) of the Indian Army.
Defence Spokesperson told Kashmir Convener that the meeting was attended by senior officers from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and multiple intelligence agencies to assess the prevailing security situation in the region.
He said the key objective of the meeting was to enhance interoperability, improve intelligence sharing, and devise coordinated operational strategies to effectively counter security threats and challenges in the area.
Officials said the discussions revolved around strengthening the existing security grid, streamlining response mechanisms, and fostering real-time information exchange to ensure swift and coordinated action against any potential threats.
The joint review is seen as a critical step in fortifying security cooperation among all stakeholders operating in the Rajouri sector, particularly given the region’s strategic significance.
