TFSA Bandipora Bids Farewell to Nazir Ahmad Kar on Superannuation
Bandipora, April 30: The Technical Field Staff Association (TFSA) of Block Bandipora on Wednesday organized a farewell ceremony for Nazir Ahmad Kar, Assistant Veterinary Officer (AVO), who retired from the Animal Husbandry Department after more than 40 years of dedicated service.
The function was held at the meeting hall of the BVO Complex, Bandipora, and was attended by staff and dignitaries from the department. Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat, Livestock Development Officer (LDO), was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Khalid Hameed Bhat, Block Veterinary Officer (BVO), and Dr. Bilal Ahmad, Disease Investigation and Liaison Officer (DILO), were present as guests of honour.
President TFSA Bandipora, Syed Shahnawaz Ahmad, delivered the welcome address and presented a detailed overview of the retiring official’s service record. He noted that Mr. Kar conducted nearly 30,000 artificial inseminations over his four-decade-long career, resulting in over 10,000 livestock births — an achievement highly appreciated by the association.
“His honest, disciplined, and dedicated service has been an inspiration for all of us,” said the president in his address.
Dr. Bilal Ahmad highlighted Mr. Kar’s role in societal upliftment through his professional contributions. Dr. Khalid Hameed Bhat lauded the retiree’s commitment to both departmental and community welfare. Chief guest Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat said, “Life is like a book where retirement marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It should be embraced with joy and dignity.”
The event concluded with the presentation of an appreciation certificate and gifts to Mr. Kar as a token of gratitude for his services. While the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer of Bandipora could not attend due to official commitments in Baramulla and Sumbal, the ceremony was marked by warm wishes and heartfelt acknowledgments from all attendees.
A vote of thanks was presented by Syed Shahnawaz Ahmad on behalf of TFSA Bandipora.
