Teacher’s Day Celebration at Govt Boys Middle School Guzerbal
Guzerbal Bandipora, 11th September 2025: Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Government Boys Middle School Guzerbal, where students and teachers came together to honor the invaluable role of educators in shaping young minds.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora, Altaf Hussain Tara was the chief guest on the occasion who was accompanied by other senior officers and officials of the team. The program was conducted with dignity and charm by Aadil Mushtaq Shaikh, who served as the host for the day.
The celebration began with a sacred touch, as Hamiza Javid, a student of Class 6th, recited verses from the Holy Qur’an. This was followed by a soulful Naat presented by Manat Jaan, a Class 5th student, setting a spiritual and inspiring tone for the event.
The function was formally inaugurated by the Headmaster of the institution, Mr. Ashok Kumar, who in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of Teacher’s Day and acknowledged the tireless efforts of his teaching staff.
The program was marked by vibrant participation from the students. Nearly 20 students delivered speeches on the significance of teachers in guiding and nurturing future generations, each expressing gratitude and admiration for their mentors.
In addition, about 30 students participated in cultural performances, adding color and energy to the celebration. Among the highlights were a traditional Sheena song performed by Iqra-Ul-Fida and her team, and a melodious Kashmiri song by Mudabir-Ul-Islam and her team, both of which were widely applauded by the audience.
The teachers too made their presence felt, sharing their experiences, reflections, and words of wisdom with the students. Their motivational talks emphasized discipline, respect, and dedication as keys to a successful future.
A particularly memorable moment of the event was when Mr. Bashir Ahmad Ganaie, a senior teacher of the school, captivated everyone with a soulful ghazal of the legendary Kashmiri poetess Habba Khatoon. His melodious performance created a magical atmosphere and was especially cherished by the parents who had gathered to witness the program.
In his keynote address, the worthy CEO Bandipora, Altaf Hussain Tara, appreciated the sincere efforts of the school administration in organizing such a meaningful event. He praised the active participation of students and the dedication of teachers in fostering both academic and cultural excellence.
He further encouraged parents to maintain regular contact with the school and extend full cooperation for the overall growth and development of their wards.
The highlight of the event was the award ceremony, where the CEO honored three distinguished teachers of the institution for their exceptional contributions.
Azad Hussain Sheikh was recognized as the Best Administrator, Shakeela Bano received the Best Teacher Award in acknowledgment of her remarkable 25 years of service, and Mr. Mohammad Ramzan Dar was felicitated as the Best Teacher of the Institute. Their recognition drew loud applause and served as a source of inspiration for others.
To encourage student participation, all 50 students who contributed through speeches and cultural items were felicitated with medals and received appreciation from the dignitaries.
The event concluded with a renewed spirit of respect and gratitude toward teachers, leaving behind cherished memories for both students and faculty alike.
