Srinagar, Dec 25 : A case has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg in Baramulla district after a disturbing video surfaced on social media showing an individual assaulting an elderly man, reportedly his father, police said on Thursday.
According to a Facebook post by SDPO Tangmarg, the video was observed circulating on social media in which the accused was seen physically assaulting the elderly person, allegedly his own father.
Police said the accused has been detained, and a formal case has been registered in PS Tangmarg. The investigation has been taken up and is currently underway, the post added.
“The individual has been detained and investigation is underway,” SDPO Tangmarg said in the Facebook statement. — (KDC)
