Bandipora, Sept 24: Sumlar T20 cricket tournament is picking up pace as 4 teams battled for a berth in the next round as the series is being played on a knockout basis in north Kashmir's Bandipora district.
Two matches of the second round of Sumlar T20 cricket tournament were played on Thursday in Sumlar.
The tournament is being organized by Army's 14 RR Unit on a knockout basis in Sumlar village of Bandipora.
An official spokesperson said the first match of the day was played between Chitibandi sports and Nadihal Eleven.
"The nail biting match was won by Chitibandi Sports who put up a challenging total of 103 runs. Nadihal eleven could not chase the score due to some excellent bowling by Chitibandi Sports which enabled them to wind up their rivals at a score of 84 runs."
He said tha the second match of the day was played between Rising Stars Shokbaba and Erin Sports.
"The closely contested match was won by Erin Sports," the spokesman said.
