Sub office of I&FC found locked in Bandipora

Bandipora, 08 Mar: The irrigation and flood control Office in North Kashmir's Bandipora was surprisingly found locked during office hours on Tuesday.

The office which is barely located few hundred meters from the Mini-secretariat in a rented accodomatation had no employees present with all its rooms and the main door locked at 12:40 PM.

The locals have frequently raised the complaints about officials not being present the office making locals suffer.

However, surprisingly the senior officials, on asking the reasons gave different excuses about the non presence of the officials.

The Executive Engineer Bandipora said the office was locked momentarily as the staff was attending a farewell function of a recently retired AEE nearby, "they will return after a shortwhile", he said.

Meanwhile, the concerned Assistant engineer contradicted and said that they were in Safapora given official visit of the Cheif engineer. On asking, why even the orderly employee wasn't, he said they will look into it.
The locals had been frequently complaining about absence of the official at the office. Today when this reporter visited the office around noon, no official was present and office rooms were found locked.
