Students Association thanks LG Manoj Sinha for re-opening of Educational Institutions
Srinagar, Feburary 14: J&K Students Association, a national body representing students from the region in all states on Monday thanked Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for ordering re-opening of educational institutions in the Union Territory.
In a Statement National Secretary of association Mehraj Ahmad said that they express sincere thanks and gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Administration for their decision of re-opening of Educational institutions in phased manner from February 14, 28. “We had requested authorities about it several times and urged them for its earliest redressal and finally this was made possible”.
Coordinator of Association, Umar Jamal said that children who wanted to be in the classroom, are very much thrilled and excited. “The continual closure of educational institutions had taken heavy toll on quality education and mental health of students. It had been very monotonous for students to stay at home and attend the online classes for such a long time. This order is ray of hope for poor students who were deprived of their educational rights,” he added.
