SSP tours Bandipora town to review security situation ahead of republic Day

Bandipora, Jan 25: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Lakshay Sharma Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of Bandipora town on the eve of Republic Day to review the security situation.

He was accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police Ashiq Tak, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shafaat Mohammad and other senior officers of the department.

          The SSP visited Gulshan Chowk, Eidgah, Nishat Park and  several markets of the town to review the security arrangements put in place by the Police ahead of the Republic Day celebrations,

          The top cop of the district was informed about all security arrangements and was told that all arrangements have been put in place to ensure peaceful celebration and smooth conduct of the republic day functions. He was also briefed about the deployment and other related security measures.

          The main function of the republic day will be held at SK stadium Bandipora where DDC chairperson Abdul Gani Bhat will unfurl the tricolor while chairman Municipal Council Bandipora will unfurl the tricolor at Gulshan Chowk.
