Pampore, Sept 26: The South Kashmir Operations Range Inter-Battalion Track and Field Competition-2025 of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) concluded on Thursday at the 185 Battalion headquarters in Lethpora, Pampore. The two-day event, held from September 24 to 25, brought together eight battalions in a spirited display of athletic talent.
The competition saw participation from battalions 14, 110, 130, 178, 180, 182, 183, and 185, with players competing in events such as the 100 metres, 1500 metres, 4×100 metres relay, cross-country race, long jump, high jump, and shot put.
At the closing ceremony, Shri Narvir Singh, DIG, South Kashmir Ops Range (SKOR), attended as the chief guest and praised the athletes for their discipline and sportsmanship. He said such events strengthen both physical fitness and mental endurance while promoting teamwork and camaraderie among personnel.
The overall championship trophy went to 185 Battalion CRPF, while 110 Battalion finished as runner-up. Medals, trophies, and certificates were awarded to the winners.
The ceremony was attended by senior CRPF officers including Vijay Kumar Singh, RTC Lethpora; B.R. Meena, Commandant 110 Bn; Rajiv Yadav, Commandant 130 Bn; Yadvendra Singh Yadav, Commandant 185 Bn; Sunil Mishra and Vinod Tandon, Second-in-Command 185 Bn; D.D. Chaourasiya and Shiv Ram Meena, Deputy Commandants, besides other officers and jawans.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Commandant Yadvendra Singh Yadav, who congratulated the winners and wished all participants success in their future endeavours.
