SRINAGAR, MAY 15: SOS Children's Village's under its Family Strengthening Program observed International Family Day at Pamposh Colony Palpora under the theme "Families in Development".
SOS Spokesmen said that the aim to celebrate the day was to spread awareness via audio video calling regarding the importance of the institution of family.
He said that all the families celebrated the day inside their homes and mothers (caretakers) and caregivers engaged their children in different indoor activities and story telling session by elders were also conducted.
The day was observed with the active participation of children who cherished the time spend with their family members.
The Spokesman said that during the program inmates speakers also generated awesomeness regarding handholding of family members to contain the speared of COVID-19 Viru besides various precautionary measure needed to be taken during the pandemic.
