Skill Development Training Progranne concludes in Bandipora KVK

Bandipora, Feb 03:  The seven days Skill Development training Programme entitled, “Maintenance of Dairy Farm /Dairy Animals” organised by  Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bandipora concluded  on Wednesday.

The programme was organised under the ambit of Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY)-an initiative by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, GoI in collaboration with the Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-Kashmir and MANAGE, Hyderabad.

An official spokesperson said twenty four rural youth and young farm women were given hands on training regarding dairy maintenance, feeding, sanitation, milking and marketing through experts of the relevant fields with an objective to develop skill and inculcate latest know-how in the field of dairy Sciences. 

Besides, giving in-situ knowledge on the subject, exposure visits to Mountain Livestock Research Institute (MLRI) Mansbal  and nearby progressive dairy farms developed by some of the farmers through the technical backstopping by the KVK concerned were also arranged for the participants for start-up initiative accordingly, he added. 

The participants expressed greater satisfaction for conduct of such innovative programme. At the end, certificates were also distributed among the participants.
