Bandipora, 06 April: Six officials have been suspended for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Bandipora.
As per document available with Kashmir Convener, District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora has put six officals of different departments under suspension for violating MCC.
Those who have been suspended include Abdul Raouf Shah, Istiyaq zaibullah lone, Tariq Ahmad Wani, Irshad Ahmad Mir, Fayaz Ahmed Malik and Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh.
DEO also directed the Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora to conduct a detailed inquiry into the conduct of all the officals and has asked him to submit his report with the recommendation for taking further disciplinary action against them under law.
All the officals have been attached with their respective district head offices.
Earlier Chief Medical Officer Bandipora and Medical Superintendent Bandipora were also put under suspension pending enquiry for allegedly participating in a political meeting. Several officals including teachers were also suspended earlier for forwarding what's app messages endorsing the views of a politician.
