SHOPIAN, July 01: Continuing its sustained crackdown on illegal mining, Shopian Police seized one Dumper and two tractors involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals from Saidpora area of the district.
During routine patrolling a police party from Police Post Saidpora intercepted and seized one Dumper and two tractors involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without mandatory permission. In this regard, FIR No. 59/2026 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Heerpora and investigation has been set into motion.
Shopian Police reiterates its firm commitment to protecting the district’s natural resources and ensuring strict legal action against those involved in illegal mining.
