Sharing hateful content is a punishable offence, legal action will be initiated against violators: Cyber Police Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 16 : In a stern warning to social media users, Cyber Police Kashmir has warned that they are closely monitoring the spread of harmful, sectarian content that was originally posted and later removed. “We have observed that certain hateful sectarian content, originally posted and later removed, has been downloaded and is now being widely circulated. This behavior is under close watch, and strict action is being taken against offenders,” Cyber police Kashmir said, as per news gathering agency KINS.

The Cyber Police said that several individuals who were found guilty of downloading and disseminating the material have already been summoned to the Cyber Police Department in Srinagar. Legal action is underway, as authorities work to ensure that all perpetrators are held accountable.

“We urge everyone who has downloaded or shared this harmful content to stop immediately,” . “Sharing hateful content is a punishable offense, and legal action will be enforced against violators.”

The authorities have made it clear that they are monitoring online activity and will not tolerate the circulation of any material intended to spread hatred. “WE ARE WATCHING,”
