Several PRI members join BJP in Bandipora
Bandipora, Jan 29: Several members of Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) including Panchs and Sarpanchs on Monday joined Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in a special party event held in bandipora in presence of party General Secretary Ashok Koul.
An official party spokesperson said in a major political development, Mohammad Shafi Khan orchestrated a mass joining program, marking a substantial influx of sarpanches and panches from PDP, NC, Congress and other political parties into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“The event, held in Bandipora, witnessed a surge in support for the BJP as a multitude of local leaders chose to align with the party,” he said in the statement.
Spokesperson said the enthusiastic joining members were warmly welcomed into the BJP fold by Ashok Koul, the General Secretary of the organization. His presence and encouraging words underscored the significance of the occasion, emphasizing the unity and strength that this collective move brings to the party.
On the occasion Ashok Koul, further highlighted the strategic importance of these alliances, recognizing the potential for positive transformation and progress in the region. He said the BJP remains committed to serving the interests of the people and fostering development through collaborative efforts.
Koul said this mass joining program not only reflects a shift in political allegiances but also signifies a shared vision among the political leaders for a more inclusive and prosperous future for Bandipora.
