Seven-Day Urs of Hazrat Nanga Baji Sahib Concludes in Bandipora

Bandipora: The seven-day annual Urs of Hazrat Sayed Rasool Shah (RA), known as Nanga Baji Sahib (RA), concluded on Sunday at Village Malangam, Bandipora.
The Urs is observed annually at the residence of his grandson, Syed Wilayat Shah, known as Baji Sahab of Malangam. On the concluding day, recitation of the Holy Quran and special prayers were held, including prayers for peace, prosperity, and tranquility in the State and country.
A customary flag was hoisted at the shrine, and a special Chadder was laid on the tomb of the saint. Thousands of devotees attended the Urs and paid obeisance. A community kitchen (Langar) was organized for the devotees.
Syed Wilayat Shah has been organizing the annual Urs for several years. The event draws devotees who seek blessings and participate in the community meal.
The Urs is also marked by a message of harmony and attracts people due to the belief that wishes of the devotees who pay obeisance are fulfilled.
The district administration made necessary arrangements in advance for the event.
